THE VENUE

This warm Lake Tahoe day was only made better with a cool dip in the lake and a gorgeous sunset!

North Lake Tahoe Event Center was the perfect location for a lakeside wedding with a Wes Anderson & Summer Camp theme. This venue is quite literally on the lake (not many venues are!) and inside, the modern Tahoe design complements the patio, where the ceremonies take place, perfectly.

WEDDING SIGNAGE & STATIONERY

Capturing this fun and modern theme for a Lake Tahoe wedding through the signage and stationery was an absolute blast. Thick & Thin Lines is a wedding calligrapher serving the Northern Nevada, Lake Tahoe, Truckee and Lost Sierras offering wedding stationery, event signage, and engraving. To capture all of our services, we featured a large pine wood seating chart, a full invitation suite complete with two-toned RSVP card, brush-lettered envelope addressing, and a postcard-style menu at each place setting. A detail that can’t be overlooked was the hand-engraved cake serving set which cut into multiple cakes made by C’s Mad Batter Cakery.‍ ‍

Creating the seating chart, I was reminiscing about summer camp days when everyone gathered in one large room to eat their meals. Leaning heavily into the camp theme at this beautiful Lake Tahoe wedding venue, we utilized coffee mugs with leather debossed name tags and wood crates with burgee flags to denote each table. Styled shoots are the perfect excuse to flex our creative muscles so we tried our hand at wood burning the wedding signage on the seating chart. The ‘Camp Garth Dining Hall’ sign added just the right touch of rustic to this custom signage for a Lake Tahoe wedding. In addition to burning the edges of the sign, I used a special pen and heat gun to burn the lettering. I love the idea of this custom wedding signage being hung in the couple’s dining room at home!

We kept things casual but modern for the wedding stationery suite. The invite included a wavy border in avocado green with the couple’s name digitally lettered in a fun handwritten script. Titled, ‘Field Notes’, the details card was an ode to the Wes Anderson vibes with a starburst background and layered with printed vellum. Coming in bold and bright, the RSVP card couldn’t be missed with a wave divide between soft pink and warm orange. FAVORITE MOMENTS

Some of my favorite moments from the day included the vintage oars and lanterns from Mountain Vibes Rentals paired with the disco balls around the seating chart, the plush velvet green linen from Creative Coverings, everyone’s favorite doggo chaperoned by Dog of Honor, the bright florals provided by Jesse & Co Florals, and the lighted dance floor by Tahoe LED Dance Floors. And none of this would have been possible without the amazing team at North Lake Tahoe Event Center and Hannah with Reverie Picnics & Events.
